Our Story

Founded by two friends with a shared passion for food, Be Leaf is a start-up venture in the true sense of the word. The idea grew out of an innocent suggestion to cater for those unfortunate office workers who are condemned to eking out a living on canteen food.

Ever since deciding to embark on this venture, Inge and Michiel have put themselves through a crash course in hospitality, spent hours in the kitchen inventing the perfect menu, tirelessly hunted down the best suppliers with the freshest produce, purchased the most reliable equipment and scouted for the most dependable staff.

Salad trivia:

There is a widely held misconception that the Caesar salad is named after Julius Caesar, but the salad's creation is generally attributed to San Diego restaurateur Caesar Cardini.
